ATASC won one of the three outstanding Turkish American association awards given by ATAA and TCA. The award also came with a $5000 grant. The award was presented to ATASC president Burcu Tansu at the ATAA National Leadership Conference in Washington DC. The award recognizes accomplishments in grassroots activities, outreach, engagement with the Turkish American community and promotion of Turkish culture.
Maria Cakiraga receives lifelong achievement award from ATAA at the same conference. Also Ergun Kirlikovali and Bulent Basol received recognitions for their work with ATAA.
