Important announcement about Childcare Services during the Gala event:

The parents should contact the following service provider directly. ATASC is not responsible for childcare services! The parents should reserve the service directly communicating with MollyCoddlers ~Nannies & Sitters.

Details about their services as follow;

Mollycoddlers will provide sitters at a rate of
Ages 0-2 years
$55 per child (through 10/14)
$70 per child (late registration after 10/15)

Ages 3 years and up
$40 per child (through 10/14)
$55 per child (late registration after 10/15)
on the following date(s): Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 7p-12a

TOTAL FOR CHILDCARE SERVICES INCLUDING ADD-ONS

Once childcare is reserved no fees will be refunded.
Ratio of sitters to children
1:2 newborn to 2 years
1:4 3-5 years
1:5 6 years and up

• Client will ensure that parents pick their children up at the agreed upon time. If not, families will be charged $5 for every 15 minutes or part of 15 minutes that they are late.

• Client will provide Mollycoddlers with an appropriate and safe location for childcare to take place.

Childcare services to include games, toys, books, arts & crafts, parachutes, dress up clothes, secure sign in/out procedures & experienced, professional sitters. Most importantly Mollycoddlers will provide peace of mind for you, and for the children – FUN!

filmconf1915Dr. Mehmet Perincek was born in Istanbul. After primary and high school education in Istanbul he received a grant to study in Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.  Upon his return he graduated from Istanbul University Law School and started as a researcher on Ataturk reforms and Turkish Reform History at the same university.  His PhD thesis was Turkish-Soviet military relationships in Eastern Front from the Russian archives: 1919-1922. Between 2005 -2006 Perincek did research at the Institute of  International Relations in Moscow University. Between 2010-2011 he continued his research at the Institute of Asian and African Countries at the same university.

For the last 15 years Dr. Perincek has been doing research on Turkish-Soviet Relations and Armenian issue and has published numerous essays and eight books:

*Turkish Armenian conflicts through Boryan’s views
*150 Documents on the Armenian issue from the Russian archives
*Euro-Asian approach in Turkey: Theory and Practice
*Secret documents of Turkish-Russian diplomacy

*Young Turk Revolution at Stambulskie Novosti
*The adventures of Armenian nationalism with new documents: From Dashnaks to Asala

Dr. Mehmet Perincek’s books were also published in Russian, German, Persian and Azeri Turkish. Dr. Perincek frequently gives lectures at international symposia, appears in international TV programs. He is fluent in Turkish, Russian, German and English and also translates poetry and literary works from Russian to Turkish.

Serkan Koc was born in 1976 in Istanbul. In 2000, Koc started his journalism career at National Channel television, where he held various managerial tasks. Koc produced his first documentary “Hidden Ataturk” in 2006. To date, Koc has prepared nearly 50 documentaries in political and historical issues and many television programs.

1915 in Armenian Documents is a documentary which reveals the history of 1915, when the Ottoman Empire was struggling for its very existence and foes were pressing on all sides. 1915 documents the inhumanity of war and suffering, armed rebellion and the demise of an empire during World War I. Serkan Koc, who directed the documentary, says 1915 is a factual recounting of events by witness testimony. It is a product of extensive archival research that sheds light on a dark time in history.

We are looking for ATASC BOD members with a desire to serve ATASC community. We have two Member at Large positions for this elections.

 In accordance with the ATASC Bylaws, dated October 29, 2010, Article II Qualifications of Directors, the candidate who meets the following criteria may run for the ATASC Board:  

 — a member in good standing with ATASC and/or its Chapters (i.e., paid membership through 12/31/2015);

  — a resident of Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, or Santa Barbara County;

and 

— a member who has served for a minimum of one year on the ATASC and/or one of the Chapters’ Boards

(ATASC-SD, LATAA, OCTAA, TALL, and VATAN).
Please nominate yourself or identify candidates who are interested in serving on the Board of Directors. Please e-mail the Election Committee  at info@atasc.org with the following information:

1. Name of Nominee/Candidate
2. Name of Nominator if you are nominating somebody else;
3. A short resume
4.”Statement of Interest” indicating why he/she is interested in serving on the Board of Directors;
5. Photograph in .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or .pdf format.

The Election Committee will post the candidates photos, resumes, and their statements of interest on the ATASC’s website (www.atasc.org) and forward them to the members list via e-mail prior to the General Assembly meeting.

 The General Assembly meeting is open to all of the members of the Organization. Members are invited to participate and vote in person at the General Assembly Meeting.  However, in order to cast your votes, you must be a paid member in good standing (i.e., paid membership through 12/31/2015) with ATASC or its Chapter organizations (ATASC-SD, LATAA, OCTAA, TALL, and VATAN).  Following the election, the ballots will be counted and results will be announced by  Election Committee.  During the General Assembly Meeting, ATASC President and Treasurer as well as each of the Chapter Presidents will present a summary of their achievements, finances, and any future plans.

 If you can not attend the meeting in person, you can give your proxy to a fellow ATASC member who will attend the meeting.
